Education is and shall always be a never-ending process. The Arabian Horse International community knows it very well, the reason why in recent years it has been increasingly concerned with numerous educational initiatives intended to enhance breeder’s education and enable enthusiasts to learn how to deal with Arabian Horses in an ever more conscious way. Someone, in particular, has thought that breeders and owners first need to be always provided with constant and relevant information about the standards of the breed – overall Arabian type, conformation, and movement as well as get aware of the ground rules of the current judging system and procedures. That someone is an extraordinary, well-educated horseman and judge whose name has become very familiar to many of us in this sector.
Mr. Medhat Gaber. His lifetime engagement in Arabian Horses eventually led him to establish Horsmuntiy in 2016 – an Online Horse platform providing breeders, trainers, judges, and all the people directly involved in Arabians horses, with an exceptional and insightful opportunity to meet and share their programs, strategies, and visions but first and foremost – their horses with an eclectic online community.

After the success of the first Horsmunity conference held on March 30th-31ST presided by Echao A List judge and second-generation breeder Mrs. Claudia Darius, Medhat organized the second seminar in Cairo, Egypt. ‘Breed To Lead’ was a very fruitful roundtable. It was a truly enjoyable educational experience for everyone.
The first day, the practical part was held at Eng. Mohamed Waly’s residence and stud. The place was elegant, peaceful and welcoming. The participants got a firsthand experience on how horses were judged at shows. They were given cards to evaluate different horses just like at the show. Then the instructor evaluated these horses and discussed each horse with the participants.
The second day, the theoretical part was held at Concorde El Salam Hotel – Cairo – Egypt, which was a very nice hotel with a horse-riding arena, in keeping with the spirit of the seminar.
The instructor, Mrs. Christine Jamar, was helpful and eager to teach. She was very patient with very young participants and their inquisitive questions. She shared her long journey with Arabians starting from when she was just a little girl till she became a renowned Arabian breeder and an ECAHO A list judge.
The seminar covered confirmation information and breeding topics. ‘Breed To Lead’ served many purposes.

It was a great opportunity for networking and sharing. That was due to the fact that the participants were a very diversified group in age, experience and background. There were renowned breeders alongside young breeders. The diversity extended to the sponsors who were show horse breeders (Al-Gamal Stud & Al-Bawady Stud) and a race horse breeder (Sika Stud).
The management of the seminar was highly professional and took into consideration every single detail concerning the event. At the end, participants were handed participation certificates signed by stalwart breeder Christine Jamar as they took a photo with her in front of the seminar wall of fame. It was a memorable experience for everyone.
Arabian Horse Magazine was proud to have been involved in this fantastic project and we are looking forward to the next enlightening classes!
